musical typing system<Spell>: electronic instrument work with textual input
<spell> is a text-based musical instrument that transforms typing into sound performance. Built in TouchDesigner, the system assigns a specific sound to each alphabet key using basic oscillators, enabling users to compose music through the act of writing text.
Each keystroke triggers its corresponding sonic event, turning the keyboard into a performative interface where linguistic input and musical output occur simultaneously. The act of typing—normally a silent, textual practice—becomes an audible, compositional process.
An experimental animation that explores fragments of emotion, created using <spell>. The work parallels text and moving images, adopting elements of deconstructive concrete poetry in its form. By integrating the musical typing system, the piece functions as a poetic journal interface where writing, sound, and image converge into a unified expressive medium.
